Upon successful completion of the Flight Dispatch Initial Course, trainees will be eligible to apply for a flight dispatcher position with airlines, cargo carriers, ground handeling, charter operations, VIP operations and other aviation organizationsin in Sultanate of Oman. The course is also a requirement for the CAA's Flight Dispatcher Certification.
The Flight Dispatch Initial Course is a challenging but rewarding program. Trainees who are successful in the course will gain the knowledge and skills they need to start a successful career in flight dispatching.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
- To provide trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to become professional flight dispatchers.
- To prepare trainees for the Omani CAA's Flight Dispatcher Certificate.
- To develop trainees' problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Flight Dispatcher training shall consist of:
• Flight Dispatcher Theoretical Training
• Flight Dispatcher Testing/Practical Training
PROGRAMME PREREQUISITE
Flight Dispatcher License requires the following basic qualifications. Trainee must:
• be at least 21 years of age;
• be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language;
LEARNING OUTCOME
This course prepares the participants to:
• Understand the principle duties of the flight dispatcher
• Understand all the subjects in the curriculum for adequate control and supervision of aircraft operation
